The Violence Prevention Network (VPN) is a group of experienced specialists who have been engaged in anti-violence work and the prevention of extremism, as well as in the de-radicalisation of extremist-motivated criminals, which exists since 2001. The network's main projects and areas of work focus on: radicalisation prevention, direct prevention work with those in danger of radicalisation, counselling for persons directly affected by radicalisation processes and for those that have observed such processes, education, monitoring of scientific research, international networking, work with prospective emigrants and returnees from war-torn areas as well as work with inmates in prisons. The Network's work is largely funded by German state entities from the federal and regional level, and partially also by private foundations.

Platform with 28 member organisation that aims at bringing together civil society practitioners working in the field of PVE and deradicalisation of extremists inspired by religious ideas. Its main areas of work focus on knowledge transfer and development of the minimum quality standard in prevention and deradicalisation work. BAG RelEx experts also conduct lobbying work with politicians, the academic world and public administrations in order to make sure civil society's experiences and perspective are being heard in scientific and political debates. The platform's work is mainly funded by the "Demokratie Leben“-programme of the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and also by the Federal Agency for Civic Education (FACE; in German: Bundeszentrale für Politische Bildung, bpb).

Ufuq is a civil society association focusing on work with young people in the field of civic education and the prevention of racism and radicalisation. In this respect, ufuq provides consultation and training, conducts workshops, and develops information material for schools, the non-formal education sector, municipal administrations, associations, foundations, and political institutions. The association is funded by the „Demokratie Leben“-a programme of German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and the Federal Agency for Civic Education (FACE; Bundeszentrale für Politische Bildung, bpb).

A network providing a neutral platform for dynamic exchange and controversial debate between experts working in different fields on PVE/CVE issues. The network mainly organises thematic workshops on a regular basis that are normally linked to subjects the sciences have been working on and first-line experiences from practitioners. The network is hosted at Denkzeit Gesellschaft, a CSO working mainly on countering violence among young people, juvenile delinquency and behavioural problems among adolescents, and receives funding from state entities.

The Diagnostisch-therapeutische Netzwerk Extremismus (DNE)-project offers psychological assistance to both the specialists of the EXIT- and HAYAT Germany and the families and relatives of extremist radicals as well as to people willing to leave extremist groups and movements. EXIT-Germany (EXIT-Deutschland) as a civil society programme supporting people interested in leaving right-wing extremist groups in their breakaway process through capacity building and counselling on security and social issues. The programme is run by the ZDK Gesellschaft Demokratische Kultur gGmbH, a civil society initiative aiming at fostering and strengthening a strong democratic culture in Germany, and is funded by both private donations and contributions granted under the "Demokratie Leben“-programme of German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. The organisation does not cooperate either with the police, the prosecutors' offices nor the media.

The Amadeu Antonio Foundation (Amadeu Antonio Stiftung) is a civil society foundation working to strengthen democratic civic society and eliminate neo-Nazism, right-wing extremism, and anti-Semitism and other forms of bigotry and hate in Germany. Its main areas of work focus on the following subjects: Anti-Semitism, Neo-Nazism and right-wing extremism, Hate crimes against minorities and immigrants, Online hate speech, Nazi-period and Holocaust remembrance, and Women and the far right. The foundation provides grants to other CSO projects but also goes beyond mere grant-making by assisting projects in intensifying their local and grassroots work, and by building networks and coalitions with other initiatives. Not least, it also runs its own parallel projects to draw attention to neglected but important issues, including studying the role of women in the neo-Nazi subculture and addressing the lasting effects of contrasting Nazi-period and Holocaust education and remembrance in former West and East Germany. The foundation's work is funded by both private donations and contributions granted by state entities.

The Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft (BAG) is the umbrella network of the regional offices (Regionale Arbeitsstellen, RAA) for supporting children and adolescents from immigrant families and for fostering education, integration and democracy. BAG acts as a hub for knowledge transfer, the development of a joint strategy, vision, and work profile, capacity building for experts, and scientific accompaniment of the RAAs' different projects. There currently exist 65 RAAs in 7 federal states across Germany, which are usually funded by both private and state donations.

HAYAT Germany (HAYAT Deutschland), a civil society organisation, provides counselling services for radicalised persons to eventually prevent, decelerate and invert the radicalisation process as well as for their relatives. The organisation focuses on persons inspired by Islamic extremism, for example those involved in radical Salafist groups or those who are on the path of a violent Jihadist radicalisation process and try to leave Germany for combat zones in the Middle East. Anyone from parents to siblings, friends, teachers, employers, or any other person who has a relationship to a person potentially on the path of a (violent) radicalisation can approach HAYAT to seek advice. The organisation does not cooperate either with the police, the prosecutors' offices nor the media. HAYAT is funded by both private and state donations.

The EXIT Action Circle or Action Circle of Former Extremists (EXIT Aktionskreis or AKTIONSKREIS Ehemaliger Extremisten, AK-exit) is a civil society association founded by former followers of radical ideologies and religious fundamentalisms. Its members support local PVE/CVE initiatives and projects by sharing their personal stories in workshops, seminars and lectures, and also directly address current extremists by overtly confronting them with the context, ideas and theories that lie behind their radical worldviews and by offering counter-narratives. The EXIT Action Circle is a project run by EXIT Germany.

Schools without Racism: Schools with Courage (Schule ohne Rassismus - Schule mit Courage) is a European youth initiative and network against racism. In Germany it is run by Aktion Courage, a human rights organisation, which works aims at fostering the participation of marginalised groups and persons with immigrant backgrounds in mainstream society and political processes. The Schools without Racism - Schools with Courage-programme grants funding to projects run by pupils and teachers that help improve the atmosphere at their schools, foster democracy, and promote and strengthen civic consciousness. In order to become a member of the programme's network of schools 70 percent of all people working and studying at a school would have to commit first with their signatures to actively stand up against any form of discrimination, intervene in cases of conflicts in their schools, and regularly carry out projects on those subjects. The programme is funded by state and private donations.
