The Multicultural Forum e.V. (Multikulturelles Forum, MkF) is a regionally anchored migrant organisation. Its work focuses on employment and qualification, education and higher education as well as on counselling services. In the city of Dortmund it currently hosts a counselling office for radicalisation issues. The association is funded by state and private donations.
Federal Working Group "Getting Started" (The Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft "Ausstieg zum Einstieg")
The Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft "Ausstieg zum Einstieg“ is the umbrella organisation of CSO exit programmes for members of right-wing extremist groups. Its main areas of work focus on the implementation of minimum quality standard in counselling on disengagement and voluntary alienation from extremist groups as well as on lobbying work with politicians, the academic world and public administrations in order to make sure civil society's experiences and perspective are being heard in scientific and political debates and the structures of their work are being strengthened. The consortium currently has 9 members and is funded by both private and state donations.
Face Show! For a cosmopolitan Germany (Gesicht Zeigen! Für ein weltoffenes Deutschland)
Gesicht Zeigen! Für ein weltoffenes Deutschland is a civil society organisation whose main work focuses on running public campaigns that aim at strengthening civil courage and developing projects that support tolerance and reduce prejudices in German society. The organisation also provides pedagogical materials for the work with children in schools and is funded by both private and state donations.
The Kreuzberg Initiative against Antisemitism (Kreuzberger Initiative gegen Antisemitismus, KIgA)
The Kreuzberg Initiative against Antisemitism (Kreuzberger Initiative gegen Antisemitismus, KIgA) is a Berlin-based civil society organisation that runs mainly projects on political education in and outside schools. One of its projects trains young peer multipliers in PVE work with a particular focus on Islamist radicalisation. KIgA is funded by both private and state donations.
Against Oppression in the Name of Honour: A Project for Equalisation of Straw e.V. (HEROES) (gegen Unterdrückung in Namen der Ehre: Ein Projekt für Gleichberechtigung von Strohhalm e.V.)
HEROES is a project run by CSO Strohhalm e. V. in which young men receive regular training on subjects such as honour, identity, gender roles and masculinity, and human rights, in order to subsequently act as peer multipliers and deliver workshops on their own on those subjects. The project explicitly aims at involving also the parents and families of these peer multipliers by offering them separate workshops on subjects such as communication within the family, parenting, or religion. The project's work is funded under the „Demokratie Leben“-programme of German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.
Association of Counseling Centers for Victims of Right, Racist and Anti-Semitic Violence (VBRG) (Verband der Beratungsstellen für Betroffene rechter, rassistischer und antisemitischer Gewalt)
The Verband der Beratungsstellen für Betroffene rechter, rassistischer und antisemitischer Gewalt (VBRG) is the umbrella organisation of CSO advice centres and counselling services for victims of right-wing, racist and antisemitic violence. Its work focuses on promoting common minimum quality standard in counselling services for victims, their relatives and witnesses of acts of racist, right-wing or antisemitic violence. The consortium currently has 13 members and is funded by both private and state donations.
180 Degrees Turn (Grad Wende)
180 Degrees Turn (180 Grad Wende) is an independent non-partisan NGO based in Cologne. It provides mainly educational and counselling services for young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, with several projects focusing particularly on PVE through training of peer multipliers in mediation, pastoring, and anger management. 180 Degrees Turn receives funding from state entities.
Anne Frank Centre (The Anne Frank Zentrum)
The Anne Frank Zentrum is the German partner organisation of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. The Centre reminds visitors of Anne Frank and her diary with exhibitions and an array of educational programs. It facilitates learning opportunities in which children and young people can examine the history and link it to the world in which they live today. It also supports and trains adolescents as peer multipliers to stand up and fight against all forms of antisemitism. The Anne Frank Zentrum is funded by private, civil society and state donations from German and European entities.
Youth Migrant Services (JMD) (Jugendmigrationsdienste)
The so-called Youth Migrant Services (Jugendmigrationsdienste, JMD) are CSO-run programmes, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, that support young people from immigrant families with their integration through individual counselling, capacity building, and networking. There are currently 22 JMD offices across Germany. Several offices run projects involving social workers who help youngsters build resilience against Islamist narratives and offer vocational perspectives for those at risk.
S.A.V.E Begium (Society Against Violent Extremism)
The goal of the association is: - The creation of a network for prevention and awareness of radicalisation and violent extremism - Fight against radical thinking through an exchange of practices in prevention, awareness and training programs for front line practitioners. - Accompany, listen, advise and offer a space for information exchange to young people, parents, and front-line professionals when they encounter questions regarding the topic of radicalization. - In educational institutions or networks (public education) encourage courses at all levels of public education to reflect and discover human diversity, different philosophical and religious movement, added value for understanding constitutional and legislative principles of mutual respect. These courses are adapted to all ages and all levels.
European Foundation for Democracy
Established in 2005, the European Foundation for Democracy is a policy institute that works with civil society, academic, government and other stakeholders on the prevention of radicalisation. It addresses all forms of radicalisation which can lead to violent extremism regardless of the political or religious ideology that may drive them. Specifically, it supports initiatives to strengthen the resilience of communities in different countries by empowering credible pro-democratic voices to prevent radicalisation from gaining a foothold.
Centre of Expertise and Advice for Prevention and Intervention of Radicalism and Extremism (CEAPIRE)
Ceapire offers direct answers and practical solutions to questions relating to radicalism and extremism for all persons asking, may it be a public or a private person. It is specialised in all matters concerning Islam, radicalism, extremism, cultural diversity, integration and citizenship. Ceapire organises training for different types of stakeholders in radicalisation-related issues.
