Contradictions in the European prevention model

Against the increase of the phenomenon of violent extremism leading to terrorism, many prevention practices and de-radicalization tools have been promoted at European level. Doubt, however, raise on the effectiveness of such models. This article provides a comparison among various tools used throughout European prisons, concluding that current models of radicalization prevention present contradictions of various kinds, which pose serious problems to the effectiveness of the model and the resulting implications for the democratic stability of members countries.
