Improving detection skills among first-line practitioners
Pilot project in the local initatives context
The pilot project’s main goal is to improve first-line practitioners’ capabilities in detecting and reporting signs of radicalization.
The pilot project will consist in the design, validation and evaluation of a violent extremism Risk Assessment Tool (RAT) for professionals working in social services and NGOs dealing directly with individuals vulnerable to radicalization. The RAT that will be designed in this project will be unique, comprehensive, so that its structure encompasses all the indicators deemed relevant by end-users, and flexible, so that it is easily integrated into the work culture and workstream of first-list practitioners dealing with groups vulnerable to violent extremism and does not generate excessive workload for end-users.
The pilot project will be implemented in Spain, under the lead of ELCANO.
